Audition Information

Who can audition:  grades 6-8

Auditions:
Nov 3 and 5 from 3:30-6:00 Cassingham Theatre

Callbacks:
Nov 6th from 3:30-6:00 Cassingham Theatre

Bring:  clothes you can move in, a pen or pencil

You do not need to prepare any materials.

The first day auditioners will learn a short dance and then perform it.  They will then learn some short songs.

The second day auditioners will sing the songs and do some acting and script reading.

On callbacks, auditioners will be asked to sing and act.

The callback list will be posted after auditions on Nov. 5th.  The cast list will be posted after callbacks on Nov. 6th.  Both lists will be posted on Ms. Rhinehart's teacher webpage.

The Adventures of Peter Rabbit and His Friends

Who can audition:  Grades 1-5

Auditions:

If your last name begins with an A-L, please go to auditions on:
Nov. 11th
5:30-7:30
Cassingham Auditorium

If your last name begins with M-Z, please attend auditions on:
Nov. 12th
5:30-7:00PM
Cassingham Theatre

You may attend the other audition date if you have a prior engagement on your assigned date.

Bring:  clothes you can move in, and a pen or pencil

Prepare:  Please prepare to act out a Shel Silverstein (or similar) poem.  Use your voice and movement to make the poem come alive!  You do not have to memorize the poem, but it is recommended.

During auditions, students will be acting out their prepared poems, doing a few general acting exercises, and reading a small part of the play.

The cast list will be posted after Nov. 12th on Ms. Rhinehart's teacher website.
Twelfth Night

Who can audition:  Grades 9-12

Auditions:
Sept 9th and 10th
5:30-7:30
Schottenstein Theatre

Bring:  clothes you can move int, and a pen or pencil

Prepare: Please prepare to act out a Shakespeare sonnet.  You should memorize it and utilize voice and movement to bring the poem alive.  You can choose a short monologue also, if you wish.

Feste:  The person who plays Feste must be able to sing and hopefully play the guitar.  Please prepare a song to play and/or sing.

The first day of auditions we will do some general acting activities and have people perform their prepared pieces.

The second day we will be reading parts from the play.

You do not have to attend both days, however it is recommended.

The cast list will be posted on Ms. Rhinehart's teacher website after the 10th.
