Central Area Show

Every year, Central Area produces an Area Show, in which high school students from all over central Ohio can act and tech.  The Central Area Show gives Bexley students the wonderful opportunity to work with a new director as well as students from many different schools that are just as enthusiastic about theatre.  Participating in the Central Area show gives a student a similar experience to being in the All Ohio Show but with a lesser time and travel commitment.

Auditions for the Central Area Show occur after Thespian LEAD in September.  Students do not have to be inducted Thespians in order to audition.  Rehearsals are generally on Sundays in October, November and December, and the performance is at the Central Area Thespian Conference.  There have been a few times when the Area Show was screened and accepted to perform at State Thespian Conference.

The following Bexley students have participated in Central Area Show:

Rachel Arens (Almost Maine)
Abram Blau (The Weight of Words, Before We Go)
William Bowman (The Weight of Words)
Johnny Byrne (The Weight of Words)
Ashley Hutchinson (The Weight of Words)

You need to prepare a 1 minute monologue (from anything as long as it's funny--does not even need to be from a show) and be ready to do some cold reads.
Bring the audition form and medical form with you and wear clothes you can move in.
