OEdTA Scholarships

Every year, the OEdTA presents scholarships to high school seniors who are majoring in theatre in college.  In order to apply for these scholarships, students must be inducted Thespians.

There are two types of scholarships.  The Bob Fose Scholarship is for students attending college for theatre performance or tech.  The Ginny Chizer Scholarship is for students attending college to become theatre educators.

To apply for a scholarship, students must first complete an application.  The applications will be reviewed and then a handful of applicants will be selected to go through an interview process held at State Thespian Conference.  During the interview, performance majors will be asked to perform (monologues for acting, singing for musical theatre), tech majors will have to show off/talk about their portfolios, and all applicants will be asked questions about their theatre history, passion, and future.  Scholarships are then rewarded at closing ceremony on Sunday at State Thespian Conference.

Past Bexley scholarship winners include:
Ashley Hutchison--2013 Bob Fose
Erica Layman--2013 Bob Fose
