Cast List for Get Smart

Here is the cast list for Get Smart.  A ton of great actors auditioned, and casting this play was very tough.  Unfortunately, there were not enough parts for everyone, even after adding a few extra characters.  If you did not get a part, please don’t take it personally.  Casting is a giant puzzle and not every talent falls into the right niche for the production.   Please consider joining the crew.  Crew is a great experience for all involved, and interviews are on Friday September 4th from 3:30-4:30 in the Studio Theater.  All you need to bring is something to write with.

The first play practice will be this Tuesday, September 8th from 3:30-5:00 in the Studio Theater, and after that we’ll follow the rehearsal schedule given out at auditions.  Scripts and rehearsal packets with additional information will be given out at the first rehearsal as well.  Please contact me at rebecca.rhinehart@bexleyschools.org if you have any questions or concerns, or if you are going to miss the first rehearsal for a previously scheduled activity.  See you there!

Plot Overview:
"Would you believe that seven police boats are closing in on us right now?" asks Maxwell Smart of the head of KAOS who now holds him captive. When the master criminal finds this a little hard to accept, the straight-faced Smart asks, "Would you believe six?" With that question, this bright comedy-satire put an expression into the language. Smart is off on a bizarre new case in which he must stop the sinister organization known as KAOS from their most shameful plot. Their plan this time is to prove their power by blowing up the Statue of Liberty! This is too much, and Smart springs--perhaps we should say stumbles--into action. Magnificently assisted by beautiful Agent 99, Smart proceeds from one gigantic blunder to another--each, however, somehow turning into a master stroke. In our opinion, this is the ultimate spoof of all secret agent thrillers. It's filled with visual surprises that make the show exciting and enjoyable for the cast and a delight for the audience.
